NextAid is a humanitarian organization based here in Los Angeles, working since 2002 exclusively in the international dance music community to build sustainable solutions for children orphaned by AIDS in Africa.

NextAid's pilot project is the design and building of an earth-friendly child-support center in South Africa, designed by renowned eco-architect Joseph Kennedy, founder of Builders Without Borders, which will be a model for many centers to be built throughout the continent. Construction has already begun on the center in South Africa for 60 orphans and a poor community upwards of 1000 people living 2 hours outside Johannesburg. Read more about the NextAid's eco-center.

NextAid's vision and objective is to build sustainable solutions for children and their communities, giving them the facilities, empowerment and natural building training and tools to build, grow and maintain long health happy lives. We find that music, dance and art are essential to this objective. The local South African partnering non-profit organization is called Youth With a Vision - which is a youth group (many of them orphans) that employs music, dance, drumming, theater, poetry and other types of performances to travel to neighboring communities to teach their peers about AIDS prevention, living with AIDS in our communities and families.
